CCC Embraces New Students with Vibrant Welcome Program
Calauag Central College Inc. officially embraced the new Grades 1, 7, 11, and transferee students with a Welcome Program held at the Jose E. Fernandez Memorial Stage, CCC Mt. Site, on Friday, August 1.
Organized by the TBC Officers with support from teachers and student leaders, the event aimed to create a sense of belonging and school spirit among new and returning learners. The program ran from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and was attended by the Basic Education Principal, faculty members, and student representatives.
The celebration opened with an energetic drum and lyre performance, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and the CCC Hymn. Opening remarks from the Junior and Senior High School coordinators emphasized discipline, respect, and active student involvement in campus life.
Students then participated in interactive orientation sessions and were introduced to CCC’s clubs, organizations, and student support services. These activities aimed to help them discover their interests and build meaningful connections within the school community.
Upperclassmen took to the stage with song and dance numbers that showcased student talent and enthusiasm. This was followed by fun games, team-building activities, and a raffle draw, drawing cheers and laughter from the crowd.
Several students shared that the event helped ease their first-day jitters and sparked interest in joining extracurricular programs.
The program concluded with a community dance, group photo sessions, and announcements about upcoming club registrations and orientations. Organizers thanked everyone for their participation and encouraged students to stay engaged and motivated throughout the school year.
With music, performances, and heartfelt welcomes, CCC’s Welcome Program successfully set the tone for a year of growth, exploration, and school pride.
