Aspiring student leaders from the SINAG, SULO and TANGLAW parties gave their all in a last bid to win the trust and votes of their fellow Centralians during the Torch Bearers’ Council Miting de Avance held at the Jose E. Fernandez Memorial Stage, CCC Mt. Site, July 11.
The event commenced with an encouraging and inspirational message from Ms. Maria Salud F. Lerum MAED, Basic Education Principal, who reminded the students about the value of leadership and the role of every voter in shaping the future of the campus.
Following the opening remarks, candidates from the said parties took the stage to present their platforms, highlight their achievements, and demonstrate why they are worthy of the positions they are vying for. Each speech was met with loud cheers and applause, as supporters showed enthusiasm and pride for their respective parties.
Adding excitement to the program were the intermission numbers performed by each party. Sinag impressed the audience with a futuristic-themed dance performance that drew roaring cheers from students and faculty alike. Sulo also captivated the crowd with their powerful stage presence and coordinated presentation. Not to be outdone, Tanglaw delivered a well-prepared performance and impactful speeches that further fueled the audience.
The Miting de Avance served not only as a platform for final persuasion but also as a celebration of student voice and democratic involvement. After two days of intensive room-to-room campaigns, the event gave Centralians a clearer picture of each candidate’s leadership potential, confidence, and readiness to serve.
As the event concluded, students were reminded that their voice matters. The online voting process begins immediately after the program, marking the culmination of a spirited and meaningful campaign season. (via Luis Daniel Danseco and Jade Obniala)
