JEO AND MMS ELECTION, FTW!
Calauag Central College Inc. College Department’s Junior Educators Organization (JEO) and Marketing Management Society (MMS) held its election of officers for the School Year 2021- 2022 in September and October last year despite being in the middle of a pandemic.
For the first time in the school’s history, both elections were held via Google meet. Headed by college department academic coordinators, Mr. Joel V. Sevial (JEO adviser) and Mr. Dennis Arthur S. Leonor (MMS adviser), the officers for both student organizations were duly elected.
“Ito ay isang hamon. Dahil nga nasa panahon pa tayo ng pandemya ay limitado pa ang lahat ng ating ginagawa” exclaimed JEO Adviser Mr. Joel V. Sevial during the interview.
Meanwhile, JEO President Joe Mark Bacerdo and MMS President Jenny Dolar, together with the newly elected officers and their respective advisers, are continuously planning possible activities for the College Department.
“Sa ngayon, balak ko sanang magkaroon ng induction kahit papano. Ang dami kong plano kaya lang pandemic eh kailangan natin sumunod sa mga healthy protocols, if possible na mas lumuwag pa, gagawa kami ng activity para kahit papano eh makapag-enjoy ang mga student ng College Department. And at the same time, magkaroon na rin ng fund for the other expenses na gagamitin kung sakaling medyo maluwag na sa ating lugar. Pero still, pinaka-kaabang abang yung mga plano para sa Foundation Day. Excited na ako makita nila yun,” Joe Mark S. Bacerdo, newly elected JEO President said.
“Actually medyo nahihirapan mag-adjust kasi nga hindi pa face to face and may pandemic pa. Pero kaya naman. As soon as possible mag-uusap kami about sa mga pwede namin gawin lalo na sa mga 1st year students and dun sa ibang nahihirapan pa rin sa online class. Siguro magiging priority namin ay malaman ang mga concern ng students and kung ano pa ba ang pwede naming magawa para matulungan sila,” newly-elected MMS President, Jenny Dolar expressed during her interview.
As of publication, the said officers spearheaded all the department’s activities during the CCC 91st Founding Anniversary celebrations held last month.
