CCC’s 91st: Love in the Year of the Metal Ox

For the students and teachers at Calauag Central College Inc., the month of February has a unique meaning. More than being the month of love and Chinese New Year, it also serves as the school's month for celebrating its founding since 1931. The CCC 91st foundation anniversary was celebrated by the whole CCC family: administration, personnel, faculty, parents, students, alumni, and guests. #CentralYan one and all.

Beginning on February 9, 2022 with a thanksgiving mass held at the CCC Mt. Site covered court at 8:00 a.m., the celebrations went off to a great start despite the challenges brought by the pandemic. Necessary health protocols were of course observed with emphasis on physical distancing. CCC President, Mrs. Fe F. Pera, led the celebration by looking back on its rich history and recognizing our institution's legacy. This was followed immediately by a motorcade participated in by the students, faculty, and administration.

Similar to many other recent school events, our 91st provided a very unique experience for all those involved. Instead of the festivities taking place at the municipal covered and open courts, most of the celebrations were held online. As this is the year of the metal ox, the characteristics of diligence, strength, honesty, down-to-earth persistence, and wealth truly symbolized what #CentralYan is all about. Calauag Central College, Inc. 91st Founding Anniversary may have been different, but the spirit of celebration and being a family lives on.
